Experience from the Public Health Frontline - Reflections and Implications
A webinar organized by Institute of Society, Citizenship & Change and Healthy & Sustainable Settings Unit with Dominic Harrison (Director of Public Health & Wellbeing – Blackburn with Darwen) and Deborah Harkins (Director of Public Health – Calderdale).
Two years on from the start of the pandemic, UCLan Visiting Professors Dominic Harrison and Deborah Harkins draw on their ‘frontline’ leadership of local public health teams’ responses to COVID-19, to reflect on their experiences and consider implications going forward. Combining introductory presentations with dialogue and conversation, Dominic and Deborah will talk about the learning, opportunities and challenges that have emerged – exploring inter-connected themes such as equity, community power, place & settings, the relationship between human and planetary health, and the climate & ecological emergencies.
